“Because, like most worthwhile things, it’s difficult.” -Todd Clayton

With an extensive background in creative & technical writing, copyediting, social media management, and graphic design, Alexis Neumann is a creative communication specialist — which is just a fancy way to say that she’s inspired by the way various creative elements can be brought together to help tell our stories.
Alexis is a graduate of Michigan State University, with a B.A. in English Literature and a B.A. in Professional Writing. While at MSU, she worked as a Marketing & Communication assistant for the Infrastructure, Planning, & Facilities department, in addition to serving as Assistant Editor & Head of Public Relations for The Offbeat, an on-campus literary magazine. During her tenure, she created a comprehensive social media presence for The Offbeat, spearheading several successful marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and author submissions.
Following graduation, Alexis joined the law firm Fraser Trebilcock as marketing intern and was promoted to full-time Marketing Associate within four months. This career-launching opportunity is also where she met mConnexions founder & Principal Strategist Julie, who was serving as the firm marketing director. Alexis’ success in this role led her to her current position as Senior Marketing Coordinator for global engineering & architecture firm, HDR. While this scientifically-focused role has enhanced her experience as a technical writer & editor, Alexis is thrilled to also be an active part of mConnexions, where many unique projects allow her to flex her creative muscle (her favorite kind of exercise!), and stay on the cutting edge of the fast-paced digital marketing world.
On every project, Alexis is focused on using her abilities as a writer, editor, designer and innovator to communicate ideas, emotions, information, & brand strategies on behalf of our clients, in the clearest way, on the most powerful platform. There is no one single way to tell a story, and Alexis finds joy in the process of finding that perfect, unique vehicle for each and every client.
A Traverse City native, she is excited to be back in her hometown after over a decade spent downstate. Alexis lives with her husband John, and two fur-babies Ben & Finn (better known as Troublemakers 1& 2!).
