We asked everyone on our team to share their favorite social media “pro tip”, whether it be the best way to connect online, a favorite feature or time-saving strategy, or a way to set your content apart from the competition. Pro Tip #1: Follow, Like, Connect. Build a Strong Network! 

Supporting others in your niche helps you build relationships and connect with like-minded individuals. By engaging with their content, you can create a sense of community and foster collaboration opportunities, such as joint promotions, partnerships, or sharing insights and knowledge. 

Actively supporting others on Instagram also gives a strong positive brand image for your business. It shows that you value community, collaboration, and mutual success rather than focusing solely on self-promotion. Mutual love between brands and businesses is something everyone loves to see! This can attract customers who appreciate businesses that prioritize building relationships and supporting others.

Pro Tip #2: Use the “Direct Link” sticker on Instagram to share links in your Stories

It’s hard to believe now, but it wasn’t so long ago on Instagram that only influencers and businesses who met a certain follower count could add direct links to outside content in their stories. Luckily, in October 2021, IG heard the cry of the people and gave ALL of us access to this awesome feature – and if you aren’t using it yet, you need to be!  

Using the “Direct Link” sticker on an Instagram or Facebook Story allows you to put a link to your external content – whether it be your website, a digital storefront, an event invitation, or anything else you think of – mere millimeters away from the fingertips of anyone who looks at your Stories. 

While we love tools like LinkTree and LinkInProfile for sharing external links on our profile, using the Direct Link sticker is a less complex way to make sure that people have easy access to your content off of Instagram. Bonus – when you add a Story to your Highlights, the link sticker stays with it!

Pro Tip #3: Repurpose Your Content

Ever noticed a particular piece of content that sparked a frenzy of likes, comments, and shares? That’s your audience giving you a gold star! They’ve shown you what they love, what resonates with them. Repurposing this content is like holding a mirror to their preferences and saying, “Hey, you loved this? It’s like being in the cool club of trending topics, and it’ll help get you more likes, shares, and retweets than you can shake a GIF at. 

Google Trends allows you to see what’s trending now, compare certain search terms, search specific terms to see their current popularity, and more. This tool isn’t just for data lovers; it’s for every content creator who wants to make waves, capture attention, and have their content high-fived by search engines and social media alike.

Pro Tip #5: Storytelling through Visuals

We all love a good story! We love it so much that every year, Americans spend roughly $40 billion dollars on movies and books, including home entertainment and streaming services.
