
Don’t believe anyone who tells you email marketing is dead. It’s alive and well — when done right.
Add to that, automation, which lets you leverage your time and efforts to send targeted, tailored emails to the right people at the right time.
But don’t mistake the term automation as being bland or irrelevant. You’re not simply setting cruise control — you still need to drive those leads.
First — Know and understand your audience. You have to know who you’re talking to in order to craft the right message.
Then — focus on specific areas of your email to attract their attention.
- Use the subject line to evoke curiosity. Keep it under 50 characters, avoid all caps and only use emojis if they make sense. Simple and to the point is best!
- Include a specific call to action to help readers figure out the next steps you want them to take.
